Gemini was born from a simple thought: "There has to be a better way." I'd been working in Health and Safety for 15 years, supporting large energy and refining companies. Everywhere I went, I felt a sense of frustration from employers. Why do safe operations have to been painfully inefficient operations, laden with bureaucracy and paperwork? I didn't believe continuous improvement was down that path then, and I still don't now.  

Personally, I've always believed that a successful safety program is light, efficient, and seamlessly integrated with your business operations. The value of building capacity in your people to dynamically see and respond to risk far out weights any piece of paper or checklist. Things are going to go wrong in the execution of business. Period. No matter how much paper you add. What truly matters is how resilient your company is; how do you respond and how do you improve? It's on these foundations Gemini is built.
